These include:

Gwydyr Forest, Llanrwst:

Approximately 5 miles from Pen y Ffrith (it is possible to ride to Gwydyr Forest from Pen y Ffrith).

Open access for horse riders throughout the forest with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and towns.

Llanbed-y-Cennin - Rowen - Pontgwgan, Conwy:

Approximately 13 miles from Pen y Ffrith. 10 mile ride mainly on bridleways.

Capel Curig - Llyn Cowlyd Reservoir:

Approximately 14 miles from Pen y Ffrith. 15 mile route over bridleways and quiet roads.

Llangwm - Ty Nant - Ty Mawr, Corwen:

Approximately 18 miles from Pen y Ffrith.

9 mile route with beautiful scenery, mostly off-road.

Some steep gradients, gates to open, and water crossing. OS Map No. 254 Vale of Clwyd.

Gwynedd Beach riding:

Horses are allowed on beaches managed by Gwynedd Council, provided there is lawful access.

Penmachno equestrian project:

Approximately 15 miles from Pen y Ffrith.

Forest trails around the Penmachno area in the Upper Conwy Valley.

The route between Ysbyty Ifan and Penmachno is now open to horse riders again and offers some of the best views across the Snowdonia Mountain range.
