Cycling Snowdonia
All of our properties have fulfilled the criteria required to achieve the Visit Wales ‘Cyclists Welcome’ accreditation.
This means that you will find a separate drying room in The Old Farmhouse and all of our properties will find facilities for cycling such as:
- A washing & drying service (chargeable)
- Boot scrapers
- Water supply for cleaning cycles and outdoor clothing.
- Basic groceries can be pre-ordered prior to arrival.
- Maps and books are available for reference on cycling in the local area.
- Weather information is supplied and can be updated daily if required.

We provide emergency information, details on public transport & local taxi’s and details and location of local shops, amenities, restaurants etc.
Gwydyr Forest is right on the doorstep of Betws-Y- Coed and Llanrwst.
Gwydyr Forest | Gwydyr Trail
The Gwydyr trail, built in association with Marin bikes, leaves from Gwydyr Forest, a couple of miles north of the town. Long challenging climbs lead to miles of brand new technical single-track weaving through trees and boulders, across streams and down snaking ridge lines to get your heart and brakes pumping.
Alternatively you can explore the hundreds of kilometres of fire road trails yourself.
Betws-y-Coed
Meanwhile Betws-y-Coed itself is packed with cafes, restaurants, pubs and outdoor shops as well as an excellent bike shop and a wide range of accommodation in the town and local area. There's also a cycle shop!
